Guiding You on Health Care Planning & Administration
Planning for illness, disability and death takes the guesswork out of the hands of family, friends and doctors. Take the steps now to make sure your wishes or the wishes of a loved one will be cared out.
You have options when it comes to how you should be cared for and who should make decisions when you cannot. Contact us to find out the different directives and options available, determine what you need and draw up documents that will give you piece of mind.
Health Care Directives
If you cannot make or communicate decisions about your care, Oregon law presumes consent to life support including a feeding tube. Rely on us for directives that instruct doctors of your wishes and may also appoint a health care representative.
Mental Health Treatment Declaration
If you become mentally impaired, who will make the decisions about your treatment? Let us draw up a declaration which names a representative to make decisions about your mental health treatment when you are unable to make them for yourself.
Guardianships
If you need to make medical decisions for a person who is incapacitated and does not have an advance directive or a durable power of attorney, contact us to get you appointed by the court as a guardian.
Conservatorships
A conservatorship grants you power over the finances of a family member or friend who is incapacitated and did not have planning documents in place. Turn to us to help you get court appointed as a conservator in order to handle the person's financial affairs.
